Alongside Cyclical Eclipse, a piece which provides perspecitve on light interacting with the rigid transparency of a glass vessel. The work rotates marginally, inviting viewers to experience its constant shift. Underpinning the work lies the idea of a glimpse of light which never remains the same for long.
The concept behind the Domesitc Vessel Series was to rely on the change in light, pesent when documenting Cyclical elipse in motion to produce a collection grasping subsections of its path. The works follow the concepts of eclipsing light, fragments dancing about the space and the role which the Glass plays in the process of refraction, a vessel for chnge and opportunity.
The bespoke collection was inspired in concept by museum archives, specifically merchandise, providing a keepsake or memorabillia of an experience. This historically provided a memorable connection to a day or experience via an object purchased or dedicated to its significance. However in this instance the collection is a unique perspective, individualised by a different moment of focal point providing exclusive persectives of the work expanded through decorative art.
The collection provides a new insight to Cyclical Eclipse: In motion and allows for accessibility of the work through product development.
