Using Laser cut floral Motifs. The concept of living walls formed from layering the waste matieral from cut patters to create a trellis. The work was inspired by William Morris’ wallpapers which are in depth illustrative designs  which appear to jump free off the wall. I Decided to layer paper to create depth and allow for the under layers to creep through as if plants were growing through the structure.

I used a green similar to Scheels green in aesthetic. Scheels green was notoriously poisonous, laced with arsenic to create the vivid pigment, when exposed to oil lamps it seeped arsenic into the homes where it resided.
